Das M\u00e4dchen Addidas hilft ihrem Vater bei der anstrengenden Arbeit in Schornsteine zu klettern, um diese dort von innen zu reinigen. Dort wird sie oftmals bewusstlos, verf\u00e4llt in eine Art Koma und begegnet in ihren Tr\u00e4umen Monstern, die offenbar am Grund der Schlote mysteri\u00f6se Maschinen intakt halten \u2026 Im Verlauf der Comicreihe verwischen dabei schleichend Realit\u00e4t und Traumwelt des M\u00e4dchens, so dass man an manchen Stellen nicht mehr genau sagen kann, auf welcher Ebene man sich als Leser gerade befindet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das Charakterdesign von Frederik Peeters ist zum Verlieben. Was beim Essen als geschmacklich vollmundig bezeichnet werden mag, bringen in diesem Comic die reizvollen, ausdrucksstarken Figuren zum Ausdruck: sehr rund und gelungen. Ebenso fesseln umgehend die Szenarien, die Handlungsorte, die unwirklich wie auch \u00fcberzeugend zugleich wirken. Beim Lesen entsteht ein warmes, abenteuerliches Gef\u00fchl. Und zeitgleich kommen Fragen auf: \u201eWas passiert hier blo\u00df? Wo wird das hinf\u00fchren?\u201c Jeder weitere Band macht noch gespannter auf den folgenden. Und so geh\u00f6rt sich das. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Koloration ist wunderbar, das Lettering bringt kleine und gro\u00dfe Buchstaben ganz anders und sehr charmant zusammen, doch wird der Lesefluss an keiner Stelle gest\u00f6rt. Zu entdecken sind auch Bilderfolgen ohne Text … diese so vielsagend, dass solcher dort auch nicht notwendig gewesen w\u00e4re. Sprechblasen, die zu den bezauberndsten geh\u00f6ren, die sich je in einem Comic fanden interagieren schr\u00e4g und quer mit den Bildern, entfleuchen oftmals schl\u00e4ngelnd den M\u00fcndern der Figuren. Ein Kleinod wundervollster zeichnerischer Erz\u00e4hlkunst ist Wazem und Peeters mit \u201eKoma\u201c gelungen. Mit Bewunderung f\u00fcr die beiden Sch\u00f6pfer und einem schweren Hauch Wehmut n\u00e4hert sich doch unaufhaltsam dann das Ende.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00dcbrigens gab es tats\u00e4chlich in den vergangenen Jahrhunderten Kinder, die aufgrund ihrer kleinen K\u00f6rpergr\u00f6\u00dfe zur inneren Reinigung von gro\u00dfen Schornsteinen eingesetzt wurden: die sogenannten Climbing Boys (in England) oder Kaminfegerkinder (Alpenraum).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
